7 Things Your Cat is Thankful For

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! While it’s always wonderful to spend some quality time with our loved ones, enjoying some delicious seasonal food, it is important to take time and reflect on the things we are thankful for. Cats are definitely pretty high on that list! But if your feline friend was able to list the things she was grateful for, what do you think she would pick? While good food, TLC, and clean litterboxes would definitely make the cut, they aren’t the only things kitties love. A local Aurora, CO vet lists a few suggestions below.

Comfy Napping Spots

It’s no secret what our feline pals’ favorite hobby is: sleeping! Cozy beds and napping spots are definitely two of Fluffy’s favorite things. Make sure your furball has plenty of comfy beds to choose from.

Windows

Kitties love watching birds and squirrels. A good window seat is definitely one of the finer things in life, as far as Fluffy is concerned!

Sunbeams

Although cats don’t actually run on solar power, they do like to recharge their batteries by soaking up the sun. Your drowsy pet may take many of her morning and afternoon naps in bright, sunny places.

Boxes

We’re not sure exactly why cats love boxes so much, but we do know that Fluffy’s box obsession is absolutely adorable. When you get something new, remember to give your kitty the empty box!

Toys

Playing isn’t just fun for kitties: it’s also very beneficial for them. It’s hard not to smile when watching a frisky feline pounce on a new plaything. Keep your furball active and happy by offering her lots of fun toys.

Computers

Cats may not know how to type, but they have still managed to take over quite a bit of the internet, just by walking across keyboards or curling up around computer mice. In fact, computers are a crucial element of Fluffy’s plan for world domination!

Love

Cats have a reputation for being aloof, bossy, and judgmental, but in truth, our feline friends are very emotional, and get extremely attached to their humans. Kitties have a certain way of making our hearts melt when they snuggle up in our laps or cuddle up to us at night!
